Education Investment Fund (EIF)
The role of the Education Investment Fund (EIF) is to create a productive and competitive Iranian immigrant community by supporting infrastructure investments in applied professional and vocational training during higher education that can transform and circulate the migration flow.
By supporting the projects that develop the job skills of Iranian, we invest in the creation and development of the training infrastructure of these skills in diverse academic programs in the destination countries.
What is the Education Investment Fund?
The EIF was established on 1 January 2024 by IMRC to provide dedicated ongoing capital funding for members’ tertiary education in destination country and research infrastructure on migration return flow.
Upgrade Facilities
Tertiary education institutions have long struggled to maintain and upgrade facilities on EIF base funding alone.
Special Account
The IEP Fund has been designed as an $11 million fund, and managed as a Special Account.
Ongoing Funding
Initial funding was provided from the $6.5 million IMRC balance, with ongoing funding to come from members' investment.
IMRC KEY RESEARCH ACTIVITY
To facilitate the researches, IMRC has integrated some universities from North American countries into its co-operation programmes; as International Educational Partnerships - IEP.
IMRC has included them in its cohort studies to see if acquiring a "Postdoctoral Fellowship course in Entrepreneurship" in our partner prominant universities, will strengthen the success rate of migrant population.
We basically prospectively study , whether partnerships with universities and civil society organizations will strengthen the ties between Iranian migrants and North American labor market.
